Road CleanupSpring Fernald Road Cleanup

The fourth PRR cleanup was held on April 14th. This was by far the worst weather we have had for one of our cleanups. The forecast was surely off as we had a much greater than 10-15% chance of rain! Thanks to everyone for showing up!

Still we gathered 11 bags of trash and 4 bags of recycling and the road looked very nice when we were finished. All bags were placed in dumpsters located at DOE's Delta offices.

Below is a picture of our brave but slightly damp group. Not in the picture but participating in today's gallant activities were Earl and Ed.

Thanks again to DOE and Stoller for providing safety vests and garbage bags. Thanks also to Corp. Ben Endress with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department for patrolling the road and to Harry Meyers of Crosby Twp. for setting up the "Road Crew Working" signs.

Our next road cleanup will be in late October-early November.
